Background and Credentials
Dr. John Huang has been providing quality orthodontic care since 1995. Dr. Huang received his Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from dental school at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He continued his post-graduate education at Harvard University where he completed his Orthodontics specialty training. He also obtained his Doctorate of Medical Sciences degree in Oral Biology with a concentration in mineralized tissues from Harvard. At graduation, Dr. Huang was recognized for his clinical excellence and his research achievements, receiving the Harvard Cadman Award of Clinical Excellence in Orthodontics and the Harvard Shaw Award for Excellence in Biomedical Research.
Having grown up on the West Coast in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Huang moved back west to San Francisco in 2000. He has rediscovered the outdoor activities of skiing, hiking and camping. Along with practicing orthodontics, he also teaches orthodontics at the University of California San Francisco as an Associate Clinical Professor, lectures internationally on 3-D X-ray craniofacial imaging technology, and publishes extensively in many orthodontic peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Huang has received numerous awards and academic distinctions for clinical proficiency, research endeavors and community contributions. He is dedicated to maintaining the highest level of care for the community.
